Mailbox send limits can be changed by domain admin
Idea shared by Cesar Nascimento - 11/29/2024 at 1:47 PM
Proposed
Could you please implement the configuration to allow or disallow changes to sending limits for the domain administrator user?

Currently, a domain administrator user can change the sending limit, thus burdening the entire domain.

Expectation:

Block, functions if disabled:
Thank you.

I logged a ticket about this +- 1-2 years ago and it was ignored.
best is to disable smartermail domain administrator accounts

Unfortunately, this option is not viable for those who sell corporate email hosting. Deactivating a domain administrator account is not an option. Our customers need access to create email accounts.

We sell hundreds of corporate mail accounts and we ran into similar issues and had to disable domain administrator accounts.

You may want to find a control panel like solidcp or mspcontrol to allow your users to create and manage mail accounts rather than directly from smartermail

Im sorry about this, but just sharing my experience with you.

I didn't know about these two solutions, thanks for sharing.
