MAJOR problem in 9088 when the server is acting as a gateway

Resolved
I am still gathering information, but for anyone who is running a SM server as a gateway to another email server such as Exchange, do not upgrade to 9088. I had to revert to 9042.

When I have more information and have opened a support ticket, I will update this thread.

As far as I know, this is a known issue that should be fixed in the release today.

Well, Jorel, that is absolutely pathetic given that I installed this as I was told that the other problem I am experiencing being in a gateway configuration was fixed.

Due to the disruptive and harmful nature of the problem that occurred, a complete loss of email flow and bouncing of all emails, I will only do the update during a maintenance window.

SmarterTools needs to investigate and implement a way to proactively notify customers when such a serious problem occurs that is know to completely disrupt email flow.

Yes, I know, shame on me for trusting SmarterTools.

I installed 9091 on Saturday and can confirm that this disruptive problem is resolved.
