How to view images within a ticket
Question asked by Shannon Yates - 11/1/2024 at 8:37 AM
Answered
Hello,

When our users create tickets they will do a Alt + Print Screen to copy an image and then paste the image into the body of the ticket.  When the agent receives the ticket it is now listed as a .png which now needs to be opened in another screen.  Is there a way to set the default to allow for those screen shots to remain within the body of the ticket?

Thank you!
Thank you,

Hello,

By default SmarterTrack shows the tickets in "Plain Text" you can either use the "Show HTML" option or download the attachment. I find "Show HTML" to be easier.

Hello Tony,

We are also "impacted" by this.
We were looking for a way to have the ticket content displayed in HTML by default (if html contrent available), but it seems such an option it's not available.

We use the "Show HTML" but it would be convenient for us that the HTML content is displayed by default.

After some thought, I assumed that it is not possible to display HTML by default but on line in a separate window, to avoid for example javascript injection in the HTML content of the mail that could be a security issue ?
If yes, maybe adding a filter that strips javascript out of the content could be a viable option ?

Anyway it's not a huge problem for us but more a quality of life improvement :)

Kind regards
