IMAP Authentication Error - Target name and hostname missing

We're seeing a lot of the following IMAP/NTLM errors:

- IMAP NTLM; AuthenticateMessage; Target name and hostname missing

- IMAP NtlmAuthenticate Login failed: NTLM; AuthenticateMessage; Target name and hostname missing.

This is a relatively new issue that we've seen over the last few months.

What is the target name and hostname referring to?
