Issue with Domain Setting in Build 9021
Question asked by Team Email - 9/16/2024 at 8:46 AM
Answered
Hello,

I have updated to Build 9021 (Sep 13, 2024), which notes that a domain setting was added to disable sharing for features like Notes, Tasks, etc. However, I am unable to find this functionality in the settings.

Could you please provide guidance on where to locate this option or confirm if it has been successfully implemented?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello,

Thank you for the question. You should be able to find this option by going to Manage->Domains->Domain.com->option then look at the bottom of the domain features card.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

Hello

Yes, it is available in the domain settings. However, it is unfortunately not (yet) possible to set it in the domain standards, which I would very much welcome.

Thanks and regards

Hi Duarte and Roger,

I just updated my answer to provide further clarification. I will create a task to add this to the domain defaults.

It doesn't work as I imagined.

As stated in the Build 9021 release notes:
- Added: A domain setting to disable sharing. (Notes, Tasks, etc.)

The functionality I need is to be able to enable/disable notes and tasks per user, just as we do with the Webmail/POP/IMAP features, etc.

Hello,

Thank you for your follow-up. That feature request is still under consideration. This particular feature aims to prevent users from sharing folders with each other.
