Upon successful login with a valid username and password temporarily whitelist an IP
Idea shared by Daniel Jörg - 7/29/2024 at 12:41 AM
Under Consideration
Hi

I often have the problem that my current IP gets locked by IDS blocks when I'm traveling. Sometimes it works - but suddenly it gets blocked. I would suggest to add a temporarily whitelist for an IP address (for a user defined time) upon successful login with a valid username and password.

This also fixes the problem with new installation in a company network when a new user several times uses wrong credentials during setup of a new devices - in this case the network with all the correct users will not get blocked just because of one user behaving strange.

Thanks
Daniel

This could be a very good feature!

We went ahead and escalated a feature request for this functionality so keep an eye on the release notes in the future for updates on this front.

Please just make sure it's optional. Seems like a bit of a security risk to me.

Yea, I need to process that.  I understand what you are trying to solve, just not sure this is the right way.
