Verifying recipient address with callou, Address unknown

After the latest Smartermail upgrade, we are noticing an issue in our Sophos XGD Firewall Email Protection, where the error "Verifying recipient address with callout" - "Address unknown" appears.

This did not happen before, at least not that we noticed. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

This is really weird because call-out is the same mechanism as normal delivery, so I don't see how it could be a bug in either product.    You need to match these entries to the SMTP logs in SmarterMail to find out what is happening on that side.
