SM14 is not the problem because it has not changed.  The browsers change constantly, so they are your problem.

Use IE11, which has also not changed. and I predict you will be fine.

Of course, the better answer is to upgrade.

This could be a problem with the browser as Douglas pointed out, but you might try setting up SSL on your hostname so the browser can at least connect over HTTPS instead of HTTP. Browsers become a little more lenient when HTTPS is present.
