Email Templates // similar to drafts
Idea shared by Merle Wait - 12/12/2023 at 9:47 AM

I send out a lot of "repetitive" type emails.. well the language in the body of the email is similar or identical.  Would be great to have a "templates" folder that works similar to drafts.. just doesn't disappear after the email has been sent

Hello Merle,

I am happy to get this escalated as a feature request for you. In the mean time you can use a work around. You can create templates using your signature.

Go to settings -> signatures here you can create a new signature as a draft message. Start a new message and in the top right you can select the signature that you want to use. Once this is set you can click the "Unlock Signature" option in the compose window to edit the draft/signature and send.

Hello,

The Signature "template" is a workaround yes but we do have cases where we would like to have an CC BBC oder even the same reciepient predefined (like for orders on specific tools or services) what did the team decided for this ?

Else if there would be an option to set webmail as default mailapp we could use outlook templates

The signature template is "okay" .. but still would be more functional to have templates or drafts that don't delete...

As a workaround we have created a user called Templates -> you can then create subfolder shrae them with read only rights (Marketing, Human ressources ... create drafts -> place them in the subfolders

Dirty way but it works for now .
