storage tiers, split storage

Proposed
Hi

We are facing the challenge of the space used by domain growing every year.

Our email servers have NVME storage and it is not possible to archive so much content on ultra-fast disk, especially when most email archives are only changed in the first week and we dont want to go back to the times of SATA or SAS where I/O problems were recurrent.

I would like to propose to SM the possibility of having storage levels/tiers, where, for example, files would migrate after 2 months from the fast level to the slowest  level. The ideal would be this configuration per domain, but if it were global it would be very good as well.

Most customers no longer touch files with more than 2 months, so if we kept searching to find the content, the number of users who would access slower storage would be supported by the I/O capacity of SATA NL-SAS.

It will be hard to implement a solution like this?

Thanks

SR

That's a great idea!
