Set up an account so it can only send to local recipients

Do you think there is a way to set up an account so that it can only send to local recipients?

By disabling outbound smtp I prevent it from sending emails to external recipients

But I need you to be able to send only to users of your domain.
Is there a solution in your opinion?

Sabatino, you can create a Content Filtering rule at the domain level.

If to address DOES NOT MATCH *mydomain.com
Bounce message

YES,
I tried it, but it didn't work.
I also thought that was the solution.

Here's what I set up. Obviously domain.ext is the domain I'm testing on.

Yet emails are also sent to domains other than @domain.ext

Does it work if you remove "from specific address?"

as per discussion with Zach via ticket I confirm that there is no way to implement the functionality

I opened a new thread as a suggestion. Let's see if it helps others. It doesn't seem like a feature that would have great difficulty being developed

here is zach's answer

Hey Sabatino,

There is no good way to block the message from being sent to internal domains on your server. The only way that I can think of that would allow this is if you setup a content filter on each domain that says if its from there then bounce message. But since content filters only work for inbound messages you cannot just setup the rule on the one domain.

Thanks,

Zach Sylvester
