Failed to load IPS message

Anyone know what the message “Failed to load IPS” in the admin console of Smartermail means?

I am not positive what this means, but it might hint at us having trouble accessing a file in your account. Are you logged in to a system administrator or user account when this happens? In user accounts you'll find there is a connected_ips.json file and I suspect this might be problematic for your account. We do archive backup copies of those files going back a week or so, so worst case you might be able to restore it from there if it is corrupted. Let me know what you find out!

Thanks for responding. What I get is a red toast message that says exactly "Failed to load IPS". What do I do to troubleshoot, identify, and solve this issue? The weird thing is that it's not all the time.

Hello and apologies for the delay on this! I checked in with development on this and they advised me that this error simply means we were unable to run rDNS checks against the IP of an incoming message. So, this isn't indicative of a problem necessarily at least, and you may be able to resolve that by adjusting your primary/secondary DNS server addresses in Settings>General. I am going to go ahead and escalate a task to have development review this area to make things more clear as well.

I just saw this for the first time today when navigating from IP Connections to Spool.
We have made no changes or updates in a few months.
