What is the best way to send an HTML message to a mailing list?

In my search for documentation on how to send an HTML message to subscribers of a mailing list, I have not found any. SmarterMail lacks a UI, so sending an email message with HTML in the body ends up displaying the raw html to recipients. There is no interpretation of it.

Obviously, this is for a client who doesn't want to spend the money for MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc. but still wants to send messages to 50k subscribers.

I am trying to create a message in HTML, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Can anyone help me?

Hello, 

When composing a message to send to the mailing list. 

You can use the code view if you wish to paste in the HTML


or just use the other options on the menu bar
