Forms Saving Fields
Problem reported by carlos camara - 10/5/2022 at 9:07 PM
Submitted
Hi during the past days I have been using forms, I found a couple of improvement and bugs can be done:
    a) Bugs when we edit a field we create and change text we save, but if we don't save the form, changes are not being saved, so I think if we save fields they must save for the form.
    b) when we see answers in form if they can be share or send to another person in pdf. so they can review them

Hope you can have look

Hey Carlos,

Thanks for reaching out to the community can you please let me know which product you are having issues with? Please also provide step-by-step instructions on how to cause this bug to happen. Please also let me know what version you're currently running.

Kind Regards,

Hi Yes of course:
1) Step one Create a Form
2) Create couple of fields, will assk you to save.
3) Then again is ask you to save if you dont save o log will not save changes.
4) If you Save, Edit some filds and if you save, now if you log out changes will no be save,
5) if you this process againg but you save again the form it will save changes.

So what i think is if wer are saving fields they suppose to be save in form, not ultil we save the form

Hi Carlos, thanks for your followup on this. I just wanted to clarify that this isn't a bug, and is working as expected. After editing those fields you need to click the Save button at the top to save the overall form. In our latest version you'll see the Save button is highlighted to indicate this needs to be done. For your second request you can likely open the form then use the Print to PDF functionality in your browser to get a PDF export of those responses.

Chiming in, no, technically not a bug, but it sure is frustrating at times when you don't realize there is a second save button to press.
Could we see if we do an event on page if you try to navigate away to remind users to save? An example of this is on FB, I can start to do a post and then go to leave and it will prompt me to save/send the post before leaving.
I just know there are forms within forms and I too often miss saving the outer one.

Sounds like a good idea, I will submit a feature request for prompts when something has been changed and not saved. Thank you
