Event Time Gets Changed
Problem reported by Joe Davis - 3/25/2022 at 11:43 AM
Resolved
I have a client using Outlook with a SmarterMail account. All accounts on this domain are having the following situation.

Client receives an event invitation with the incorrect time. (ie. sender creates event for 5:00pm, when event is received it is showing 4:00pm.

All time zone settings are correct on the mail server, whithin SmarterMail and time settings on the recipient PC are correct.

TIA

Hey Joe, just a quick question for you on this one. Have you completed a restart of the server since DST went into effect? We have seen issues where the .NET framework will cache timezone and DST settings at startup and this can lead to SmarterMail being passed incorrect times. If that doesn't help please submit a ticket on this and we can help get to the bottom of it. Have a good one!

Thank you. However, after rebooting the server and ensuring all time settings are correct, the issue still remains. I have submitted a support ticket.

Hey Joe,

We just released a new build.
In the notes it says.
Fixed: An occasional issue where the received header shows the wrong time zone after a Daylight Savings change.
Could you give the new build a try and see if it fixes your issue?

Kind Regards,

The new build (8125) did fix the issue.
