I would like to make some considerations on throttling and propose an idea
My server can use two outgoing ip addresses
In standard mode used ip1
During this weekend it happened to a user who stole the password. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it right away.
Obviously he ended up in throttled, among other things after his messages ended up in outbound spam quarantine since the server IP was listed on uce protect. So the user did not do so much damage.
During the delisting I simply changed the server's output ip to ip2
Now here's my idea. Outbound emails from a throttled user could not be set to use ip2 for outbound
So I would better protect ip1 by using ip2 for suspicious outgoing connections.
Another thing that does not convince me in throttled is the impossibility of setting a daily limit.
I would very much like to be able to set a daily limit beyond which there is no longer the delay but the reject
I think I could better protect the server with these two possibilities
What do you think?
