How to add a caution message in smartermail 14.7 for incoming mails from external domains?
Question asked by Kunal Mayekar - 9/28/2021 at 2:16 AM
Unanswered
I want to add a caution message so that when incoming mails from external domains come in inbox so it should show the caution message. I have tried setting a content filter for the same but failed to go further as there was no option to add the message in smartermail 14.7, so request you to kindly assist back me in this query as soon as possible.

Hello Kunal. Have you checked out the Events system to see if this might do the trick? Alternatively you could create a custom spam check that assigns a specific weight, then set your spam actions accordingly so that the subject line is modified to account for the score. I hope this helps!

With events system and content filtering it doesn't work. Also due to the spam action to the subject line, the user may direct delete the mail assuming it as a spam mail.

Request you to please help me further how to do it.

Hey Kunal,

Thanks for getting back to us. Adding a message to the subject is your best bet. You could just put [External] in the subject line. And most users will know what this means. Please let me know if this helps.

It'd be so great to add content filters to the top of message body. Color warning. Caution from external domain etc. Has been requested many times. Problem with subject is only reply it gets added and added and added making for a junky subject.
