BUG after SmarterMail 7803 update: cannot SAVE Domain Defaults
Problem reported by Gabriele Maoret - SERSIS - 5/18/2021 at 9:11 AM
Resolved
After update to SmarterMail 7803 I wanna disable Domain Admins to modify mailbox sizes.

I go to Domain Defaults and try to modify that option, but the SAVE button doesn't work (it simply remains gray...)

I tried even other chance to Domain Defaults, but I cannot use the SAVE button.

Can you help me?

Note: USER DEFAULTS instead work correctly...

Hi Gabriele, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with this. Usually, when the save button remains inactive this means there is some field on that page that is failing validation, and this is preventing you clicking Save. Can you check for any values on that page which are highlighted in red and let us know what you find?

Hi Kyle! Thanks to your suggestion I found out what blocked the SAVE button...

There was no "red highlighted" options, but I tried to change every option one by one and finally found that Mailing List Max Message Size was the culprit...

I couldn't see it because it wasn't highlighted:

But after I tried to change te value it changed to highlight and told what's wrong:

I think that the min value has canged between versions, but there's a BUG that prevent to be highlighted so you can find it and correct it...

I have solved my issue (THANKS!), but definitely you need to correct this behavior.

You're very welcome Gabriele, glad that helped! I would like to do some testing on this here, but found I'm not able to set this to a null value from within SmarterMail. Do you by chance have a backup copy of the domain's settings.json file from before you corrected this? If so; could I get you to submit a ticket on this?

we see exactly the same issue, you need to set the mail list size to 50 before it will save

Hello Keith,

Thank you for reaching out. This has been resolved in the current build. What we do now is if "Mailing Lists" is not enabled it is not validated at all.

I am not sure what version you are running, if you are on the current build, Build 7957 (Oct 14, 2021), and seeing this issue please let me know and we can start to look into this again.

Thank you
