Move Email Back to an Outlook Account

Subject: Procedure or Rule to automatically move email

hi ...so we are planning to use a smartermail rule to remove email every 24 hours from one mailbox. Let's say these emails are coming in for 10 users from xxx@poolplayers.com. If I had to restore all email for each user (pwoody), (erose), (paston) etc. Is there a way to automate the process for the email in the mailbox we setup to send/restore back to each user? Furthermore, can we parse it so if it can automatically restore back to each user can we have it restore incoming mail to the inbox and sent items to sent items. This email would be going back to Outlook frontend and an Exchange 2013 backend if that makes a difference.  If there is an easier way to accomplish this I would appreciate any feedback.  Thanks Elaine

Hello Elaine,

Thank you for reaching out to SmarterTools. I am going to tackle this one point at a time.

Remove emails every 24 hours.
For this you can set up a Folder Auto Clean rule that will delete messages that are older than a day.

Restoring emails
If you have "Archived Messages" enabled you can restore any incoming message to the user mailbox or other folders. To speed this up or automate it you can leverage the API.

For the sent items. This can be grabbed from the archive message as well if you are capturing both directions and can do the same.

Once this is done the user can then sync them down to the outlook account.

I hope this helps.

Thank you
