How to reset/set the last message number popretrieval fetches from an provider inbox

Hello,

some user fetches emails with poretrieval from an provider. In the logs I see RETR 1245. Where 1245 ist the message number in the inbox of the provider popretieval fetches the mails from.

How can I fetch all messages again, even better from a specific message numer upwards?

Is it possible to tell the popretrieval process the last fetched message has the number 1000 for example?
