SmarterStats: Server could not be contacted

Every since installing SS on new server and migrating content from old server, we get this email every hour on the hour: 

From: "Support@x" <Support@x>
 Date: Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 7:51 AM
 To: "admin@x" <admin@x>
 Subject: SmarterStats: Server could not be contacted
 
SmarterStats: Server SERVERNAME could not be contacted. This occurred while updating the site list. Error was: Status(StatusCode=Unknown, Detail="Exception was thrown by handler.")


Searching that error, or the subject line on the community returns just 10 plus pages of what appears to be random results.
