Outlook and POP Not Syncing Folders
Problem reported by Michael Lockard - 12/15/2020 at 1:25 PM
Not A Problem
I switched to POP from IMAP for my new install of Outlook (365) and I cannot get subfolders to show.  The web version of SmarterMail works fine and they all appear, but when I try and use Outlook no folders created by me show.  The only folder that has anything is the Inbox

IMAP worked good, but IMAP does not allow for Categories and Flags. I used eM client before, but could not get it to sync with SmarterMail and Google Calendars

To my knowledge, POP doesn't sync custom folders like IMAP does. You can possibly try "subscribing" to those folders in Outlook, but I've seen where that's hit-and-miss.

As Derek noted, POP will not support synchronization of folders other than the Inbox. To subscribe all folders you'll need to leverage a two-way sync protocol like IMAP, EAS, EWS, MAPI, etc.
