EAS users did not migrate
Question asked by Kevin McNally - 9/20/2020 at 7:38 AM

Hello,

I migrated our installation to a new server and while doing this I migrated the Settings folder. However I just found out that the EAS user settings did not transfer. It was active on the server, but the individual users were not activated.

Does anyone know why that would happen, it's making me wonder if there are other settings that didn't transfer.

Thank you,
Kevin

Kevin, can you check on the old server in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\Service\Settings\eas.json?  That is the file that contains all EAS users on the server can should be copied over to the new server.  This is assuming you are running at least Build 7459 or later.

Hi Robert,

I did see that it did and it was populated. I ended up going back and assigning the correct users. But I wanted to see if there is anything else that might not have transferred in the migration.

Kevin
