CLAMD "No connection could be made because of target machine....

Receiving this message on SM17 Inbound Gateway:

[24422003] ClamD Checks error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:3310 | error

What do I need to set up or change on this machine?

When we ran into this issue, we contacted SmarterTools Support.

We made the Timeout (Seconds) to 30 and the Failures Before Disable to 1000.  This seemed to have resolved our issue.

Maybe this could help your scenario.

Rename all files in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\Service\Clam\etc

example: clamd.conf -> clamd.conf.bk

Restart services smartermail.
