Emails are bouncing when sending to Gmail Address

Hello Team,

The emails are sometime working and sometime giving an error "Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 [173.248.133.203 14] Messages missing a valid address in From". Please find the bounce back email as below:

Could not deliver message to the following recipient(s):

Failed Recipient: jamesphyoug[at]gmail[dot]com
Reason: Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 [173.248.133.203      14] Messages missing a valid address in From:

Hello. I think I see the issue... The address that you are trying to send to is jamesphyoug[at]gmail[dot]com. Can you see the issue? It should be jamesphyoug@gmail.com. For some reason the "at" and the "dot" are spelled out and this is not a valid address. I hope this helps.

Hi Linda,

Thank you for your response. The email address is correct, I have added [] and [.] sign to avoid misuse of email address.  "It should be jamesphyoug@gmail.com." -> This is correct one.

Can you please help me to fix the issue?

Thanks Pratik. I wanted to be sure that you were using an actual email address. Looking more closely at the example you posted, I can see that the FROM address is From: "PJ". I believe this needs to be an actual email address in order for Gmail to accept the message. Is there a way for you to make the sender an actual address and see if that resolves the issue?

Hello Linda,

Everything is correct, I have verified. I have put incorrect Name for From as it was containing the display name nothing else.

Hi Kyle ,

Apologize for the delayed in response. Yes, this is happening while we are sending meeting invites to customers. This is happening with all recipients email address whether it is Gmail or other domain.

Please help me to short out the issue.

Pedro, thats okay, thanks for getting back to me on this. First, I recommend you get on to our latest release as there were some known issues sending meeting invites in recent history. What version are you currently running? If you have active Maintenance and Support we should get a support ticket going so we can get to the bottom of this. Thanks in advance Pedro. Have a great day!

Appreciate your quick response. Please find the version details below:
SmarterMail Professional Edition
Version: 16.3.6535

I don't know whether it's under maintenance and support or not. I have purchased a server and with that, I got a bundle license of SmarterMail license.

Is there any hostfix or not Or I need to upgrade to latest version?

I will wait for your further update on this.

Hello Pedro, thanks for getting back to me on this. The version you're running currently is a major and several minor versions behind, and this is likely why you're facing these issues. I do recommend an upgrade to our latest release. We will need to check your license status in our system, can I have you reach out to sales/customer service with your license key from Settings>Licensing so we can get you going in the right direction?
