New install of SmarterMail - should work as Backup MX.
Messages get deleted in the spool after 2 times trying to connect to the primary (down) mailserver.

Retry times (Settings-General) are set to 

5, 5, 15, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240, 480, 960, 1440, 2880

We have the same problem loosing messages on an Windows 2008 running SmarterMail Professional Version 16.3.6915 (production).
Therefore I setup a new SmarterMail server (I thought it's a problem with version 16.3.6915)


As far as I know from the past - when a primary went down, I could see all waiting messages in the spool.
The logs show incoming messages, 2 tries connecting, then ->

17:54:15.784 [19010] Delivery for xyz@sender.com to aaaa@server-down.com has completed (Deleted)
17:54:15.784 [19010] Removed from RemoteDeliveryQueue (1 queued or processing)
17:54:16.784 [19010] Removing Spool message: Killed: False, Failed: False, Finished: True
17:54:16.784 [19010] Delivery finished for xyz@sender.com at 17:54:16 [id:12719010]


Is this a bug?
We did not change any setting on the production server.
