I wanted to Request, After a long time when SM team is about to push out MAPI for Outlook 2016, (Office 2019) have already been released, Can you Possible keep this in mind and test the same on on Office 2019.
that EAS, EWS, IMAP, MAPI, POP service are working fine on Clients
1. Outlook 2019, or
2. Latest Windows Mail, (Windows 10)
3. Mac OS High Serra ( Apple Mail )
4. Running Latest IOS 12 apple Devices.

Because SM16 did had issues with automatic Setup specially (EAS, EWS, MAPI) on different devices.

I had actually long support tickets history with support team regarding the same in the past.

SM16 doesnt support MAPI, so how would have issues with automatic setup? We have mostly Outlook users and have never had any real big issues with automatic setup. Has generally always worked well. iOS and many Android devices all worked well too for the most part.

MAPI will only support Outlook 2013 and higher, so it wont affect any other email clients. EWS has always worked really well for Apple Mail on macOS and eM Client. IMAP has had a few pumps over the last year or so, but overall works really well for our TBird and even some Outlook and mobile clients. POP is not that big in our environment, so I cannot say much for it. EAS has always been a love hate relationship with SM. We have a lot of strange stuff happen with it, lots of weird little quirks and bugs, but over all, if you have a small mailbox that doesnt have many gigs of mail, mobile devices and Outlook handle it really well.

FYI, I am talking about SM16 & Specially 17, and I have several tickets opened with SM support Team, when talking about IMAP auto Setup,
there are several Scenarios as follow:

1. IMAP Auto Discover in Outlook 2019/ 2016 on Windows.
2. IMAP Auto Discover in Outlook 2019/ 2016 (Office 365) on Mac OS.
3. Exchange  /EWS Auto Discover in Outlook 2019/ 2016 (Office 365) on Mac OS.
4. Exchange  /EWS Auto Discover in Outlook 2019/ 2016  on Windows.
5. Exchange  /EWS Auto Discover on iOS 12 Devices.

NOTE: I had Tested SM16 it works with above settings in some conditions and fails on other.

MAPI is still in production so it was suggestion to make it compatible for Outlook 2019

I hope this is understand able.

Their blog states that Outlook 2013 and higher is supported by MAPI. I cannot see why they would go through all the work of MAPI and only make it work for 2013/2016...

Note that EWS is not supported for Outlook on Windows, only Outlook on macOS and eM Client for Windows/macOS is supported.
