Password Requirements
Idea shared by John Marx - 11/27/2014 at 8:56 AM
Proposed
We use Guids as our admin passwords. It seems all fail the rules of complexity. An example of a Guid is "DF52C8C1-EDE3-483C-93ED-75CCBC6CF70E". This is a completely random and 36 (32 if you ignore the static dashses) is pretty much non-guessable. Can we get a new rule for passwords over say 20, even 30, characters are allowed?

You can already setup a minimum length for password requirements.

Complete password configuration instructions [in this case for SmarterMail 13.X], are available at:

Those password requirements which are not appropriate to your version can be ignored.
