I have the same problem using Chrome and Firefox. Outlook, Edge and IE show the inline images.

Here is the SRC of the image:
/attachment/inline?data=R2SXtCF6sxBPo46bH%2bn6yhs4yqsCR1MKfFI5bnDb3%2bvHGnYBZr3M1CpqWjaZg0EKBgJkrJa2Bs0%2bVGoYC4hLv%2fvfQze2JtyOamX1EAT%2bHA%2fLL9%2f%2bsSO0l7940kFQVKyT&cid=image001.png@01D475C8.45603930

When I put this URL into Firefox it says the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors.

The image is also an attachment which I can download and view just fine.

I'm using SmarterMail Enterprise Version - 16.3.6649

Hariharan and Matt, if you both could send the raw EML content of the email in question to sales@smartertools.com attention Robert Emmett, then I can get these emails reviewed and see if there's something that isn't being parsed correctly or some other malformation within the email.  Thank you.

Robert,
How do we get the raw EML content of the email from web mail?

Also, it looks like only messages from MacOutlook aren't showing inline images (only in the web interface). The following are taken from the message header of an email not showing the inline images:

User-Agent: Microsoft-MacOutlook/10.11.0.180909
X-Priority: 2
Mime-version: 1.0
Content-type: multipart/mixed;

Matt,

In SM16, select the message in question.  Then in the ... menu select "View Raw Content".  This will open a new window with the raw content being shown.  Copy all of the text and save it, for example, in a TXT document.

I believe I have narrowed down my customers inline image problem. I’m pretty sure the problem is using Monosnap on a Mac pasting the image into an Outlook email is the problem. When the customer used Grab the screen shot appears just fine. So it looks like Monosnap for Mac creates an image that Firefox and Chrome can't display. I tested Monosnap for PC and it created images that were seen on Firefox and Chrome.

Hope this helps someone.

Matt, thank you for following up with this about Monosnap for Mac.  One of our developers found that Monosnap for Mac is passing back malformed image data.

Could this issue be looked into again? The snapshot image from Monosnap on a Mac will show in Gmail on Chrome. But the image still doesn't show in SmarterMail web interface on Chrome.

My boss is getting frustrated and is blaming SmarterMail. Is there really nothing we can do to fix this?
