SM 16 Selecting signature from None causes all text to disappear except the signature change.
Problem reported by Matthew Shepard - 6/26/2018 at 6:56 AM
Resolved
We have noticed a problem where if a user has none as their default signature, or switch to none before finishing up the e-mail, and then they highlight/ select and delete/backspace/replace any text, then switch to having a signature;  all existing information disappears except the signature change.

Hi Matthew,

I'm seeing the same behavior. This does seem to only occur after deleting or replacing existing text and switching from None to a signature. Thanks for the good replication steps. I'll get this information over to the development team for their review.

The newest builds have fixed that it is no longer clearing out all the text; but it is placing the signature weirdly when it is added, specifically for e-mails that are replies and have the whole reply chain. One end user has seen the signature popped in two "boxes" or e-mail replies down out of around 5. When I test it; the signature pops in at the very bottom of the e-mail chain replies.

Hi Matthew. Are you running 16.3.6754? I did some testing on our latest public release, and I'm not able to replicate that behavior. On an email with 10 replies on the email chain, the signature is added on the user's reply every time. It's never added to the boxes that display the previous messages or at the very bottom of the email chain.

I tried doing a Reply vs Reply All, adding the signature right away vs after typing/deleting some text. I even added my reply in the "boxes" for previous replies, but the signature is always added where it should be.

Are you able to determine any specific replication steps? For your account and your user's... Does your signature default to None, or does this happen when changing the Signature / From address?

I'm hoping this is something I can replicate and get over to the development team for their correction. If I can't replicate the issue; however, I'd like to get you in touch with the Support Department for their review.
