Is there a way to set up a filter on Smarter Mail, as a server wide function, so as spam is put into the JUNK folder - to copy all spam from every email box in every domain, to a single user account ?

Can this be done using events as the admin ?
Can this be done in some type of filtering ?
Would this have to be done in filtering inside of each domain ?
Or would this have to be done in filtering inside of each email account individually ?

Basically I want to set up a system wide catch all account where all spams comes to :
then we can set up (manually or make some process) where we can filter it for Origin IP addresses and then block those IP addresses from even making a connection to the server. I am tired of our server even having to handle this crap. TALK TO THE HAND !

We are using
  • SmarterMail Enterprise Edition
  • Version 14.4.5801

I agree that spam is a problem, and like your idea of a spamtrap to analyze the spam. But instead of each customer having to go through all the work of collecting the spam, analyzing it, and then manually blocking it (or developing some process), it would be better if SM could make some enhancements to improve spam blocking for all customers.

I like your ideas, we posted some similar in a thread about a year ago.
My question here, or potentially an idea to be proposed, would collect anything that goes into the junk folder from every user (automatically) and move it to a single system admin type of folder.

But still my question. is there a way to get the stuff that is headed to the junk folder to redirect to another folder ?  For right now i don't care if i have to do it manually on multiple accounts. We only have a few offenders, like 20 that get the vast bulk of our spam mail on our server.
