Special Characters in Local-Part of Addresses
Problem reported by Ryan Wittenauer - 12/21/2017 at 2:25 PM
Resolved
Special characters, such as brackets and forward slashes, are not allowed when entering an email address into the To field of a new message. These characters are allowed by RFC's covering valid characters from email addresses. We have a user attempting to email someone with a forward slash in the local part of their email address and it refuses to add.

You can reply to messages sent from an address with these characters, so why not in a new message?
