problems with domain forwarding with incoming gateway

I am migrating a client to a new server. SM14 to SM16
So I have setup the incoming gateway as per he docs for domain forwarding so that all mail goes to the new server.
But it is not working, mail is still being delivered to the old server, no attempt is being made to forward the mail, nothing in the logs on either side.

OK I found the cause after speaking with support.

It turns out that domain forwarding doesn't work if the domain exists on the gateway server as well, as it just delivers locally. Unless you have the enterprise edition.
Shame this is not mentioned in the docs anywhere.
