Karl,

What version did you upgrade from? If it was any version prior to 14.4 there were changes made to UIDVV values based on changes Microsoft made for Outlook. IF that's that case, this will eventually clear up as the accounts need to be re-indexed on the server. To facilitate this, you can have those 2 users remove and re-add their accounts so that mail is pulled with the new UIDVV values.

I updated from the july 7th version and both clients are independent of each other, both had the same problem. I set the users to reindexing and appears some have stopped receiving the error but others still seem to be getting the error.

I've to been seeing this error popup for imap users since upgrade from 16.0.6390. Had to remove and re add account. I do notice this is happening to users with Outlook 2007.

Same issue here after upgrading from version 15.5.6222 to version 16.1.6411

Is this regarding EAS or IMAP? Does removing and re-adding the accounts mean doing that from Outlook? This is not clear. What about from smartphone accounts?

(just realized that IMAP was mentioned above, by Mike Murray)

So it does seem that something got "wonky" in the latest release.... apart from re-indexing, Which did not work for everyone, what other easy fixes are available or if this is seen removing and adding back the IMAP account is all you can do.?

So it looks as if these particular issues are 1) with upgrading from versions before 14.4, which appear to work themselves out and 2) with 16.x, where there seems to be some ongoing stuff.

In the cases I found were they kept getting popups were imap accounts using outlook 2007. I recreated the outlook profile to stop the error from happening. This issue did not affect any of our Active Sync accounts or smartphones that have imap/active sync.

All,

We found and fixed the issue. As Mike says, it appears to only have affected Outlook 2007 and IMAP users. EWS/EAS accounts didn't see the issue.

The problem stemmed from some changes made to how IMAP "marked as deleted" translated to EWS, specifically in eM Client. Other clients using EWS -- like Apple Mail -- actually removed the message when deleted in IMAP, but eM Client didn't. So, a change was made to force that same behavior in eM Client. This is what caused the UID issue for those users, and this is what was rolled back.

We'll be pushing a new build to the public this week that contains this fix. If you want a pre-release build rather than wait for the minor, feel free to PM me or send a ticket to our Sales Team and we'll hook you up.

After applying the pre-release build the errors went away didn't even have to re-add imap accounts. No other issues to other services have been found after installing the release.

Same issue...  except Outlook 2010 IMAP accounts
We upgraded from 15.6.6347 to 16.1.6411 on Friday the 28th.

How do we get the 'pre-release' build?

There is already a minor release.. install that one.... just be aware that the dates seem to have been forced into US format so if that doesn't bother you update to the current release.

That did the trick.
Thank you!
