SM16 no attachment error message when there is an attachement
Problem reported by Matthew Shepard - 6/6/2017 at 5:24 PM
Resolved
Smartermail is smart enough to see when you've mentioned an attachment and lets you know if you haven't attached anything. However, if we forward an email with an attachment (and the user can see the attachment is there and does not add any additional attachments) it still gives me the error.

I was able to replicate this, but only by adding "attached, attach or attachment" in the body of my forwarding message. Is this consistent with what you're seeing?

Yes sir, my users are forwarding e-mails and in the body of their e-mail saying please see the attachement in case their recipient doesn't look down to the old e-mail chain.

I need to update that I think this issue is a little deeper. Whenever this pop up happens and the user hits send anyways, sometimes it sends the e-mail without the attachement. I have not been able to figure out a pattern for why it may successfully send with an attachement and sometimes not.

I can confirm that the forwarding of an attachment pop up is no longer showing up in error. I am still having attachements dropped randomly; but I have another post to cover that, so we can mark this one as resolved.
