This was a good-sized release, covering over 30 different items. Download links are all updated.

Is the API Documentation.. updated and available for implementation? We have a back-log of requests.. to start implement ALOT of API calls. but we were holding off until the documentation was complete.

We will start releasing new API's fully documented with 16.1, 16.2 etc. in a few weeks. We are focusing on the 16.0 build right now and all the little issues that weren't seen by BETA testers. Were also getting caught up on some 15.x tickets since we were so consumed with the SM 16.x release.

Keep in mind, we will be releasing the API in stages. For example, API's for email might be next and then calendars and contacts etc.. All our naming conventions and methods are being made consistent as we finalize the documentation. We want to make sure that we don't need to make changes to our API in the near future to make it easier on developers!

If the API is changing, should we be concerned about backwards compatibility? I hope old applications can continue working after we upgrade to SmarterMail 16. Thanks!

Our older Services API is still available, but we don't recommend any new development on it. If you have any issues with API compatibility from 15 to 16, We'd deem that a bug. This is done so things like our WHMCS module or any other third party integrations continue to function.
