I understand I can select an image from my computer as a background image for the login screen, but what is the size and other specs of the image that should be used?

In the system admin general settings in the Login Display card, there is a setting for Login Background.  Change that setting to "Custom Image Folder on Server".  Point the path to a folder in the MRS directory.  You can name this "BackgroundImages", for example.  There is no specific size limitation for the image.

Hopefully this helps.

Thanks Robert. Although you mention there is no specific size limatation, is there an optimal size? 1920 x 1280 or something like that?

Do we have to upload different versions for mobile and desktop? Does SM automatically resizes the background image depending on the resolution?

Jorge, set the image to whatever size is optimal for the majority of your users. We rely on the browser scaling. Realize that the large images will use more bandwidth.

I can't get the custom image feature to work. What am I doing wrong? Is it an absolute path, relative path... ?

Absolute pathing works. However, you have to make sure that the IIS worker process can access the folder in order for this to work.

Will we be able to customize this on a per-domain basis?

Gary, the background image/color cannot be customized on a per domain basis. However that might make a good feature request. If you make a new post and make a feature request, you'll definitely get a +1 from me and I'm sure other admins would find that useful as well.

Can I just replace the images that come as default from the folder, with my own images?

The images must be one of the following types: JPG. JPEG, PNG, GIF, or SVG

Are you putting them in the Interface/img/backgrounds folders?

How often do the images rotate? Can this be adjusted?

Seph, the images rotate daily. There is no setting to adjust that.
