How to block *.* HELO host.
Question asked by Troy Schultz - 3/24/2017 at 5:47 PM
Answered
Is there a way to block a host saying its name is *.* with smtp blocking?
This what the session shows.

cmd: HELO *.*
I have tried "*.*" that doesn't seem to do it.

Thanks.

Not sure if you saw it but, I noticed that in the release notes for the patch on the 2nd that they have blocked this for you.

Yes, I downloaded the release and implemented the rule as soon as I could. Thanks for the nudge though!

So, I don't need the rule then?
