601 when sending several emails at a time

Hi. This is in reference to SmarterMail Version - 13.2.5511. I have a customer who tried to send out 43 emails at once. She received 601 return errors for almost all of them. However, if she sends 8 at a time to the same folks, they are delivered without issue. I'm aware that 601 is usually DNS related. I've tried 3 different DNS servers in SM with the same results. Any idea why she is getting the 601 bounces when trying to send 43 of them at once? Thanks.
