Exclude a domain user/users from spam filtering
Question asked by Jay Altemoos - 1/16/2017 at 10:47 AM

Is there any way to exclude a user from spam filtering totally? Reason I ask is for things like support email requests that might get trapped by the spam filter. I would like to exclude the support@<whatever domain> from spam filtering all together. Anyway to do this?

PS. I know that adding email addresses / domains to the trusted senders listed is another option, but there have been times when we get an email from an outside domain for a company we host. The user would send an email to us through their personal email account because they were having issues with their company hosted account. In turn it might get trapped as spam. So I would like to exclude the receiving email address from filtering.

I hope that made sense.

Hi Jay. Yes, you can do this. Log into your SM Admin Interface. Go to Security>Antispam Administration and click on the Options tab. Put a check mark in "Put a dot in the circle next to "Override spam settings for this domain" then click the Actions tab. Set all 3 areas to Take No Action. Click Save. If you want to do this for one particular user on a domain, the instructions are the same, but you would need to do it in the users Settings area instead of the Domain Settings area. I hope this helps.
