Migration from DreamHost Causes PDF's to Corrupt

We recently migrated a client from DreamHost to our SM system.  Most of the PDF attachments appear correctly in the Attachments list, but when downloaded/viewed, they throw an error that the PDF is corrupted:
 
PDF.js v1.5.294 (build: 64a409b)
Message: Invalid PDF structure
 
Any thoughts on the cause?
