The server that handles the site could not be reached

Hi,

We were using the integrated SmarterStats Web Server and we wanted to switch to IIS 7 (Windows 2008R2).

I followed all the KB information (We have 3 SmarterMail servers with IIS so i'm pretty used to it).
I can get to the login page, but as soon as I try to log in, I get the message "The server that handles the site could not be reached".
I tried uninstalling SmarterStats and reinstalling, checked the authorization on MRS folder, rebooted several times, compared with settings on our IIS SmarterMail servers, but I can't log in...

I opened a ticket about this but in the meantime, if anyone already faced this problem, any hint would be appreciated.

It seems I finally manage to solve the problem :

It was about the permissions on the MRS and/or AppData folder.

I had set full control on the MRS folder for the NetworkService account as mentioned in :
https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2479/set-up-smarterstats-as-an-iis-site-iis-7_0-7_5.aspx?KBSearchID=688873 but it wasn't working.

Removing the permissions on MRS and setting modify rights for NetworkService only on the AppData folder (as reported by the Self Diagnostic) did the trick.
(well, I think this was the solution, as I tried so many settings)
