Reports sends memory skyrocketing and never returns results
Question asked by Steven Kornegay - 2/16/2016 at 11:57 AM
Unanswered
We are using SmarterStats 10 (latest version) on Server 2012 (fully patched) and cannot keep the web services that come with SmarterStats running or, when it does run, the report responds with "This report returned no results".

Sometimes the web services won't start because it cannot find the specified file.

Any ideas?

I just upgraded to the 11 beta and it looked promising to start. But then on a report spanning a year, the memory usage has skyrocketed to 11GB and no report. Frustrating...

Could it be an OS issue with Windows 2012?

No report and the memory usage just stays high for the SmarterStats Service. It never drops. Only a reboot or end task clears the memory usage.

Well, no replies to this problem so I must be the only one experiencing it. I am preparing to migrate the installation from 2012 back to 2008R2 and see if that resolves the issue.

11.2 fixed the memory issue, but now my logs just keep downloading in an infinite loop with the newer logs not processed...
