Message archive search download memory usage
Idea shared by Sterling Kendrick - January 8, 2016 at 7:23 AM
I have noticed when a customer selects a large amount of emails to download from the message archive search that the memory usage of the mail service goes through the roof.
It would be great if you could look at that process to see if it could be improved. One idea is to allow the system admin to set a max memory usage for this process. Another idea would be to break the download up into smaller more manageable zip files. Or if you could just queue the request and send them an email once the process has created the file for download with a link to download it.
I have seen this happen on multiple servers. The latest server is running Windows Server 2012 R2, E3-1230 v3 3.3GHz, 32 GB RAM and SSD Drives.
Thank you in advance for looking at this request.
