All the e-mails moving from an IMAP server through EWS to the SmarterMail server have their dates overwritten with the time/date of when I moved the e-mail.  If I do an IMAP-to-IMAP to SmarterMail, there's no problem.  What can I do about the e-mails already transferred that the dates are overwritten?
