Multi-Tenant AD Integration for Single Sign On

I am looking at the article "Enable LDAP for Domains" and it states:

NOTE: LDAP integration will only function if SmarterMail is on the same domain as the LDAP server you are trying to connect to.

I have multiple customer domains in Smartermail and would like to point each potential Active Directory Integrated Smartermail domain to a different LDAP (AD) host to achieve single sign-on for Windows Network and Smartermail for the various clients. How hard would it be for SmarterTools to add an "LDAP Host" or "Active Directory Host" tab under advanced settings for each Smartermail domain?
