Why is Incoming Messages more than Outgoing when it is primarily a sending mail server?

My outgoing email is probably used 98% more than incoming, but yet when I look at my report.  I can have 35,000 out going messages, but my incoming is like 36,500.  I don't see these in any of my inbox accounts, so where are those counts coming from?

If you are looking at the incoming message count for the whole system, this number includes ALL messages that reach your spool.  These messages would include those that are later quarantined, deleted by virus scanner, etc.  If you are looking at the incoming message count for a domain or as a user, this number includes ONLY messages that were successfully deliver to that domain / user.

I hope this helps.
