Error when setup clamav

Hi,

I want setup remote clamav but i got trouble
I have installed successfully at my CentOS server, but when i config in smartermail. It's say
- Unable to obtain virus definitions for a disabled or remote ClamAV server.

I'm sure i have open port 2 server smartermail and clamav server.
Clamav current running

Information is quite obvious. Virus definition update can't be triggered remotely so SM is unable to do that. You have to make a cron job in CentOS for updating ClamAV and keep eye on it if it works correctly.

I'm sure i have update database, but it's can't read info from centos ?

SM will not fetch information about update date when ClamAV is runned as a remote instance.

What version of SmarterMail? This,was resolved in the most recent releases of 14.2.

I'm not sure how this could be fixed? Thread creator is using remote ClamAV so SmarterMail can't trigger ClamAV DB update and it is not fetching any details when DB files where updated. That's why he is getting error:
 
"Unable to obtain virus definitions for ... remote ClamAV server"

You will need to make a cron job or something that stops clamd.exe and runs freshclam.exe then turns on clamd.exe afterwards. It is remote so this is something SmarterMail cannot do.

I just update up to 14.2 but not fixed yet

I would try uninstalling and removing the clam folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterMail\Service\
Then installing. This will insure you get ClamAV defaults.
