Issues moving mail between folders with Outlook 2013 via EAS
Problem reported by Robbie Wright - 6/7/2015 at 5:06 PM
Not A Problem
Anyone seen this error before? Trying to migrate another customer into SM from Exchange and we're getting this issue when creating a new profile, connecting it to SM (although still waiting on a fix for autodiscovery), mounting a local PST and then trying to move mail to a new folder on SM.

That's normal unfortunately. ActiveSync does not support local transfer in. The easiest way is to setup the account as a standard imap, transfer in, then after its synchronised remove the local profile and setup another but this time with ActiveSync.

Boo. But thatnks for the info, that helps. Now if they could only get Exchange sync to work with Outlook 2013 I wouldn't have this problem in the first place.......

Exchange Activesync is working fine on Outlook 2013 for me. The folder copying is a limitation of the protocol, not smartermail.

I just recently switched a POP3 to IMAP and then ultimately to ActiveSync using Outlook 2013 and it's been working great so far. You'll need to consolidate calendars and contacts from your old POP3 account to complete the process.
