Quota Information in Email Client ?
Idea shared by Marius Steurer - 5/6/2015 at 11:11 AM
Completed
Hi,

I'm using Thunderbird with the "Display Quota" AddOn since years on the cyrus Mailserver. This is working very well, and I see the mailbox usage right in the Thunderbird interface.

I switches with one account now to Smartermail and it looks like, Smartermail IMAP lacks on QUOTA Information. Does Smartermail not Support rfc2087 ?

regards
Marius

Marius, we do not support currently the QUOTA information from RFC 2087.  I have added this to our feature request list for further consideration by the dev team.  I'm also changing this thread from a Question to an Idea to facilitate tracking.

Does anyone know if this will also affect Outlook?

If you use a office365 account it shows the used and available space in Outlook.
Is this a office365-only feature, or will this also work if QUOTA functionality is added?
And will this only affect IMAP, or will this also work with EAS?

Thanks!

Any chance this could be reflected in the webmail interface also?

I did a quick mockup to demonstrate at:

Both of the suggestions in this thread have been implemented in SmarterMail 15 which just launched BETA.
IMAP Quota is now supported and used.
Mailbox size and limit are now shown under your account drop-down in the top right:
This bar also turns red when it is close to the limit.
